Dear Colleagues,

Nerissa Morris has announced that she will step down as Vice President for Human Resources by December 31, 2017.

A highly regarded member of the University of Miami leadership team, Nerissa has served as the VP of HR for the past eight years, during which time she had an indelible impact on the Human Resources function.

Nerissa transformed the HR service model, instilled a focus on workforce well-being through new programs and benefit enhancements, and oversaw the strategies and development of leadership programs and employee engagement tools to better support the staff of the University. In addition, from the earliest conversations to proactively shape our institutional culture, Nerissa has been an advocate, architect, and leader in the efforts, which are now defined by our common purpose, DIRECCT values, service standards, and leadership behaviors.

Nerissa has been a valued work partner to many of us across the University, and her contributions will be missed. Please join me in wishing her all the best in her future endeavors.
